Yesterday I went in to Body Marks Tattoo Shop on El Cajon Blvd. for my back piece session. I was pretty darn nervous… more nervous because of the thought of all the pain I was going to endure. Like any other tattoo, pain is inevitable so I was as mentally prepared as I could possibly be.

The sesh ended up lasting about 5 1/2 hours. First half I was okay, the pain was tolerable. But the last 1 1/2-2 hours, I was DONE! I like to think I have a higher than average tolerance for pain… but my back felt so raw… so tender, that I didn’t think I could make it through the home stretch. Thankfully, everyone there was so supportive and encouraging it really helped me through. :) And the constant reminder to myself that Beauty is Pain!

My tattoo artist Nes (mark) was pretty proud of the piece. Every time someone walked by, he made sure they stopped to take a look at it. Even people walking by on the street asked to come in and see. So that was interesting… considering the fact that my butt cheeks were just chillen out.

He’s in fact so proud, that he wants to enter me & my back piece into the next Japanese Tattoo category contest at the upcoming Tattoo Expo this halloween weekend. So my piece must be finish by the last weekend of October. SO EXCITING!

After all the pain I experienced yesterday I thought today I would for sure be sore and in some massive pain. But I am completely fine. I can sit down, lay on my back, lay on my side… I’m good. Nes has one light hand, I must say.

FRIDAY (08/21/09):
VictoryNightLife held another event at Onyx/Thin. It was probably one of the best Onyx/Thin events I’ve been too in a while…only because we were celebrating the birth of our dear Gian. But the dynamic duo…the Batman & Robin of the MindzAlike crew…DJedROC & Julz were spinning upstairs at Thin. They tore the house down for sure.

Started the night off with a mini Victory dinner meeting at BareBack.

Keepin it up...

I’ve experienced so much since the last time I blogged in this mo’fo that I’m not even going to try to blog about the past. With that being said, I’m just going to start with now…and so on and so forth. All I can say is that so far this is one of the best years EVER! Hopefully I can keep it up! ;)

Sunday = Fun Day!

Waking up still feeling drunk from saturday night and the night before, is not that fun. But the ladies wanted me to take them to a spot in San Diego where they serve some bomb breakfast. Immediately I think of Brian’s in Hillcrest. It’s a great American eatery. If you haven’t been there, you’re missing out for sure. They serve everything…the menu seems so endless. OH, and if you happen to be craving some Roscoe’s chicken & waffles. Brian’s serve that there too. It’s pretty delish.

They weren’t kidding when they said they wanted to grub on some good breakfast!

The girls headed back up to Long Beach right after breakfast. :( it was fun having them down here. Short & sweet. :)

I didn’t want to go home yet, and I wanted to do something spontaneous and fun. Going to the shooting range popped right into my head. So I decided to give my cousin Ate Sheila a call to see if maybe she’d like to hang out. She’s a licensed owner of a Glock 23c .40
She was down, so off we goooooooooooooo…..

Ok. My Ate Sheila is seriously so tiny. And seeing her handle that Glock…was so impressive!

she’s a pretty good shooter for her little self!

I must admit. I was kinda scared to let go of the first couple rounds. Being that I haven’t handled a gun since I was 6-7 years old. And I wasn’t sure of how bad the kick on the gun was.

After 2-3 rounds. I was getting the feel for the gun a lot better.

Needless to say… those target silhouette’s didn’t stand a chance!

The Office Bar

With such a great friday night…being a drunkin mess and all. I was thinking of being able to have all saturday to recover. But that would be a negative.
I get a call from my lovely cousin Breanna, telling me that she’s coming down from Long Beach with her friend Darlene for the night. I say ‘AWESOME’. And quickly try to think of something to do. I eventually narrowed San Diego’s fine Saturday night life to 2 places. U-31 & The Office.

Driving past u-31 the line was just tooo redick! So I made an executive decision to just book it to The Office. It was a pretty good night. Music was on point! Which is perfect, cuz we ladies like to dance!

Onyx/Thin.

It wasn’t to shabby this time at Onyx. It was probably the most fun I’ve ever had at Onyx. :) Soooo Fun!

So the day started off with MarkyPooooo coming over to my house, so we can go to Los Americas AGAIN! Second day in a row! But it’s all good. We just had to return some stuff…
